Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan is opening up on his incredible journey from illegal immigrant to television star in a new one-man show in Las Vegas.
The 50-year-old, who rose to fame rehabilitating problem dogs in the hit National Geographic series, will give fans insight into his own remarkable life story in Cesar Millan – My Story: Unleashed, next week.
The animal behaviorist, who was born in Mexico, revealed last year he illegally crossed the border into the United States when he was 13.
In an interview with DailyMail.com, Millan said the idea for a show came after he was often asked ‘how in the world’ someone from his background became a famous dog whisperer.

‘I have always been asked: why don’t you talk about your story? Why don’t you share? Not every Hispanic, Latino, Mexican becomes a dog whisperer. How in the world did that happen?’ Millan said.
‘I think we’re fascinated when people become what they dream to become, and in my case, dogs were my love before I became the Dog Whisperer.
‘So then a Mexican guy comes out of nowhere and becomes a dog whisperer – that’s a fascinating story for a lot of people and it’s fascinating to me.
‘I love my life. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I know I’m an immigrant, I know where I came from.
‘So with the ups and downs of life, I think people need it more now than ever right now.’
The show, which will play over seven nights at the David Copperfield Theater at MGM Grand starting September 12, will reveal the ‘ups and downs’ of his life and his ‘great connection to animals’.

‘We’re a very separated culture, we’re not really respecting nature, so I’ll talk about why I have such a great connection with animals and how I’m able to keep the “motor code”: honesty, integrity, loyalty,’ he said.
‘I want to share, you know? I want to share how someone who came from a third-world country, and dreams as big as he can, and the obstacles in life, and how I perceive life, how I view life, what do I follow?’
A gifted storyteller, Millan will resonate with the crowd through ’emotion’, ‘comedy’ and ‘lessons on every species.’
And Millan and his team have promised four and two-legged fans will join him at the MGM.
‘It’s been an incredible journey thus far and I’m honored to share my life story unlike I ever have before on stage at MGM Grand in Las Vegas,’ he said.
With more than 25 years of animal behaviorist experience and an Emmy Award-nominated television series, Millan works to rehabilitate hundreds of misguided dogs with his innovative methods of training.
The life-changing technique not only earned him worldwide success but also allowed him to change dogs’ behavior and the lives of their owners.
