Illinois corn and soybeans 44% good to excellent
Illinois’ corn and soybean crops are both rated 44% good to excellent by the USDA.
As of Sunday, nearly 60% of Illinois’ corn crop is silking, 23 percentage points ahead of the previous week, but still 35 percentage points behind average.
Soybeans blooming reached 52%, compared to 30% the week before and the average of 83%. Fourteen percent of the crop is setting pods.
Winter wheat harvest is 98% complete.
