Accra, July 2019, GNA – Dr. Abdullahi Umar Gandiuje, the State Governor of Kano has directed Kano Pillars Football Club to remain in Kaduna State for close camping ahead of their crucial game against Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The Masu Gida would host Kotoko in their first encounter in the Confederation of Africa football (CAF) Champions league preliminary stage on August 10, at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano State, Nigeria.
Kano Pillars on Sunday, won the Nigeria 2019 Aiteo Cup at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, where they defeated Niger Tornadoes 4-3 on penalties.
According to Mr Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, the Media Officer of the club, the team would return to Kano State on August 5, where the crucial match would be staged, while their opponent Kotoko would travel from Kumasi to Accra for camping to get access to Astro-turf before they would travel to Nigeria.
