The call came in just after 9 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Holden Street to investigate a shooting reported in the area, Seattle Police officials said in a statement.
By the time officers arrived, the victim, a man in his 20s, was being treated for life-threatening gunshot wounds by Seattle Fire Department medics.
The man was able to talk to officers at the scene and told them two men approached him as he stood outside a business there and shot him. He saw them get into a white Dodge Charger before they left the area.
Medics took the man to Harborview Medical Center, where he was receiving treatment.
Seattle Police Department’s Gang Unit has taken over the investigation.
