Nolin, Mariscal spur Tacoma to 10-3 win over New Orleans

METAIRIE, La. (AP) — Chris Mariscal hit two solo homers, and Sean Nolin allowed just six hits over 6 2/3 innings as the Tacoma Rainiers beat the New Orleans Baby Cakes 10-3 on Sunday. With the victory, the Rainiers snapped a five-game losing streak.

Nolin (4-2) allowed two runs while striking out four to get the win.

Tacoma had a big five-run second inning in the blowout victory. Joseph Odom hit a three-run home run and Mariscal hit a solo home run en route to the seven-run lead.

Robert Dugger (2-4) went 4 2/3 innings, allowing eight runs and nine hits in the Pacific Coast League game. He also struck out four and walked four.

Rosell Herrera homered and singled twice for the Baby Cakes.
