Ospreys won the Women’s Regional Championship for the third successive year

Ospreys women beat Cardiff Blues 31-14 to retain their regional crown and claim the Championship for a third year running.

There was a brace for Lowri Norkett at Cardiff Arms Park, plus tries from Kelsey Jones, Carys Phillips and Keira Bevan.

Bevan was successful with three conversions.

Rafiuke Taylor touched down twice for the Blues, with Robyn Wilkins adding both conversions.

The game was the first of a double-header, with Scarlets beating RGC 45-7 in the later kick-off.

There were two tries apiece for Sioned Harries, Caitlin Lewis and Marged Williams with Delyn Alcock also getting on the scoresheet.

Jodie Evans kicked five conversions.

Beth Stafford added a consolation for the north Walians, with Elinor Isaac adding the extras.

Dragons did not compete in this year’s Championship, instead they took part in the Super 12s tournament.
