Roxanne Pallett has found love again a year after the Celebrity Big Brother ‘punchgate’ scandal.
The former Emmerdale star is now dating New York firefighter Jason Carrion, who appeared on the US version of the hit Channel Four reality show Married At First Sight
The 36-year-old actress , who split with her fiance Lee Walton after her time on CBB, achieved a dream of recreating the famous scene from the film Rocky by running up the steps to the Philadelphia Museum of Art with her new man at 5am.
Wearing a ‘Balboa’ hoodie Roxanne looked overwhelmed after she reached the top of the steps urged on by Jason and stood inside movie boxing icon Rocky Balboa’s footprints.
And she was encouraged by her beau to raise her arms in triumph while looking out over Philadelphia from the top of the 72 stone steps.
Roxanne and Jason, 33, marked the achievement with a kiss and they shared a photo of the romantic moment on their Instagrams.
“I’m with you” Roxanne captioned the photo.
“No matter what,” Jason wrote next to his post.
Roxanne filed videos of her emotional run under an Instagram story entitled ‘Love.’
“What a lucky lucky man!!” cheered one of Roxanne’s followers.
“I hope he takes good care of you & you find true happiness in life! So happy for you Roxy.”
“You two are two unique energy’s that have found each other!” said another.
In June Roxanne revealed she had been diagnosed with a complex form of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder after she wrongly accused her CBB housemate Ryan Thomas of punching her on the Channel Five show and said she had been living like a virtual recluse.
Last August Roxanne claimed former Coronation Street star Ryan had ‘repeatedly punched’ her in the ribs when he had been playfully sparring in the kitchen.
She later apologised to Ryan, his family and friends and admitted she got the situation “massively wrong”.
Roxanne quit the series and faced an unprecedented backlash in the aftermath.
The actor said she is now battling PTSD and still feels nervous talking about it.
Reaching out on Instagram ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week in May she gave an insight into devastating experiences that have occurred in her life including being trapped in a house fire which led her to take an overdose, an abusive relationship while at university, the death of her grandmother from cancer and the suicide of her best friend.
Roxanne decided to seek help and was treated for PTSD and panic disorder after sending a farewell message to her family following her turbulent departure from the Celebrity Big Brother house.
“In 2018 I had to put my pride aside and ask for help. I was diagnosed with PTSD and Panic Disorder,” she explained previously.
“I’m now on medication and I see a specialist for EMDR and CBT therapy. I feel like I’m finally coming up for air. I now pause before reacting. I look to myself before others. I reframe.”
Roxanne, from Carlisle, now appears to be making a new start in New York.
Sharing a photo of herself looking out over Manhattan she quoted the Alicia Keys song Empire State Of Mind.
“These streets will make you feel brand new.. The lights will inspire you..Let’s hear it for New York…” she wrote.
Next to another snap taken in Brooklyn, she wrote ‘Hope.’
Jason, who is also a model and a wrestler, is celebrating five years working for The New York City Fire Department.
In 2004 he appeared on Married At First Sight and he and Cortney Hendrix, his ex wife of five years, married as strangers.
The couple filed for divorce in February.
