SonyLIV Indian VoD expands to Middle East

Indian video on demand (VoD) service SonyLIV has expanded its global footprint with a foray into the Middle East. It was launched in 2013 as the first mover in the Indian OTT industry and recently exceeded 100 million app downloads on Play store in India. It currently caters to over 70 million MAUs (Monthly Active Users). 

SonyLIV shows output for the local audience and South Asian diaspora in the region with over 70 popular shows from Sony Pictures Networks India’s (SPN) library and over 1500 films. It is now available in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.
