TECUMSEH — Some downtown Tecumseh streets will be closed periodically this month while scenes for a movie are filmed.
The first closure will be pm Sunday, Sept. 8, according to a news release from the city of Tecumseh. South Ottawa Street between East Chicago Boulevard and East Kilbuck Street and East Pottawatamie Street between South Oneida and South Evans streets will be closed between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The same streets be closed between 9 a.m. and noon Tuesday, Sept. 10.
On Sept. 22, filming will take place between 9 a.m. and noon on Evans Street between 101 E. Chicago Blvd. and 112 N. Evans St. and between 102 E. Chicago Blvd. and 116 S. Evans St.
The city of Tecumseh was contacted by Blue Bird Productions with interest in filming several scenes for an upcoming movie in and around downtown Tecumseh. While the roads are closed, travel will be allowed for residents located within the impacted areas. Residents may ask an official to pass through and the roadblocks will be removed.
