CHEBOYGAN- Tickets to the United States Coast Guard Band show at the Cheboygan Opera House August 6 are all sold out, so tickets will not be available at the door.
“Our show on Tuesday is sold out,” said Lisa Dorrance of the Cheboygan Opera House.
“We are so honored to host the Coast Guard Band and thrilled at the terrific response from the people of Cheboygan. The patriotism and the excitement from so many diverse groups is a joy to see,” said Kathy King Johnson, Opera House Director.
The Cheboygan Opera House does still have tickets available for their free upcoming shows of the United States Air Force Airlifters Band and the Cummings String Quartet.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and those who attend will be able to see the premier band representing the United States Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security.
The 55-member ensemble is based at the US Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. In addition to performing concert tours around the nation, the Band has also played in the former Soviet Union, Canada, England, Japan and Taiwan.
In 2008, the Coast Guard Band became the first premier American military band to perform a concert tour of Japan.
This concert is free and open to the public and will include a broad spectrum of music, from wind ensemble classics to swinging jazz charts.
Those who attend the performance of the band are encouraged to wear red, white and blue to show their support for our country.
